Connecting with all who share our longing and commitment for peace and harmony with nature and with each other is our joy and motivation for Fortner’s Garden.

Many of our plants require little care or expertise while offering such benefits as purifying your air quality, beautifying and decorating your space, enhancing your general sense of wellness. Many of our table top plants are happy indoor or outdoor and contained in re-purposed or re-cycled containers.

Fortner’s Garden was established by Alethia Housen Fortner after several years of employment with a Miami based importer and distributor of starter plant material.

Alethia’s intimate experience with a family owned operation stirred and fueled her passion to initiate her own ADventure.

Alethia has successfully participated in plant and garden sale events since 2003 and and launched her online shop of vintage wares in 2012.

Alethia enjoys pairing easy plants with old, used, re-cyled, re-imagined, and re-purposed vessels.
She discovered (maybe more accurately…re-discovered) a love for things of old.
Many of the vessels she pairs with her plants are often lovely and beautiful objects on their own.
This realization (and a growing collection of such objects) prompted Alethia to open an online shop of vintage wares for home, garden, office and gifts.
